After a year of traveling throug Southern Africa and Mexico, world travelers and adventurers Sonya & Necota Staples have returned to Atlanta, and are partnering with the Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance for The Gathering – Get Grounded HBCU. Get Grounded HBCU is a spinoff of their signature 3-day event, designed to create an outdoor fellowship experience that shares their passion for travel, ignites your imagination about nature, and helps you connect with others. This event is designed for everyone, including kids, with the goal of creating a comfortable space where you can become more confident and curious about outdoors.
Throughout the day you will have the option of attending worshops, tour camping setups/adventure vehicles, support local Black-owned business, and have some good old fashion fun.
All proceeds from The Gathering – Get Grounded HBCU will go to Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance to benefit scholarships for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
