Camping, Overlanding, & Lifestyle blog

If you guys didn’t know, we are proud HBCU graduates of North Carolina A&T State University (Aggie Pride)! This year we’ve partnered with the Atlanta HBCU Alumni Alliance for the 5k Run Walk. Each Saturday through June 19, we will be showcasing unique locations in metro Atlanta and give you ideas on how to host your own virtual 5k. This week we have our tribe, Bola – Morehouse, Aisha, and Carmen – Clark Atlanta, whom we met through ATL Trail Team. And we are located at the beautiful Cascade Springs Nature Reserve.

This park has a little something for everyone and would be a great location for you to host your own virtual 5k. If you haven’t already, be sure to register for the HBCU Alliance – 5k Run Walk on Team Staples InTents.

Make sure you check out the video below, where we do a little 5k Run Walk recon and take you on through the beautiful and historic Cascade Springs Nature Reserve.

Suggested Items to Carry on your 5k Run Walk at Cascades Springs:

General Considerations:

  • Remember, leaves of three, let them be. The leaves of many poisonous plants, like poison oak and poison ivy, grow in groups of three
  • Always stay on the trail. This not only protects the trail but protects you
  • Practice basic Leave No Trace principles and take all of your trash with you. You can even pick up any trash you find along the way

Special thanks to Legacy History Pride, for providing the dope HBCU apparel featured in all photos and videos and to David Yates Digital for shooting and editing the video.
