Tomato soup is the ultimate comfort food, so why not enjoy it while camping. I’ll walk you through how to make my tomato soup and to turn it into a great meal at the campsite.
Unfortunately, I typically don’t use “recipes”, but below are the ingredients to make the tomato soup. I promise it’s not too hard. You really just throw everything into the pot, let it cook, and add seasoning (until it taste good to you). If it taste okay, but you’ve had better, just think about your favorite tomato soup and the characteristics you remember.
Do you remember a slightly smokey flavor? (Add a little cumin.). Or was it rich and earthy? (Try a little rosemary.) Was the texture thicker? (Let the soup reduce a little more.) Once you love it, that’s it.
Just remember , when adding seasoning, add a little at a time. You can always add, but never take away.
1 yellow bell pepper
1 red bell pepper
4 cloves of garlic
4 stalks of celery
2 lbs Roma tomatos
2 lbs Vine Ripe tomatos
1 container of medley tomatoes
8 oz heavy cream
32 oz can stewed tomatoes
crushed red pepper
